We’re Negohot – a religious, community-oriented town nestled between Lachish and southern Hebron. Just a 25-minute drive from Kiryat Gat, we’ve built a community with views that will remind you of Tuscany, but with a proudly Zionist spirit.
Negohot is experiencing a tremendous growth spurt. In recent years, several projects have been built and filled at record speed. Now, we’re launching Phase 2 of the Harey Zahav Project, featuring last remaining duplex homes.

Life in Negohot offers the best of both worlds. On one hand, we enjoy the peace and quiet of a close-knit community. On the other, we’re close enough to Kiryat Gat and the villages of Lachish for easy access to services and activities. Our prime location makes commuting easy, with employment options across Beit Shemesh, Rehovot, Ashdod, Jerusalem, Gush Etzion, Be’er Sheva, and Kiryat Gat. Within the community, we have a wide range of facilities, including a synagogue, mikveh, daycare, two kindergartens, Bnei Akiva youth center, afternoon Torah classes, an active library, playgrounds, sports facilities, an event hall, and a multipurpose activity room. The community is also home to local businesses, including Negohot Honey, Baruch’s Beer, Monitz Winery, sheep pastures, olive groves, vineyards, and a wood warehouse for heating and crafting.

Education
The community of Negohot offers a balanced education system that combines local institutions with regional learning opportunities. Students attend nearby schools such as Dvir in Otniel and Susya for elementary and high school, with many choosing yeshivas and ulpanot across the country. Early childhood education is provided within the community, alongside a rich informal education system. At the heart of the educational experience is a dynamic Bnei Akiva branch, led by local and visiting mentors, as well as a dedicated Torah study program offering advanced religious studies in the afternoons. The Negohot Midrasha further enhances the town’s educational landscape with a variety of programs.

People
Our community is made up of down-to-earth, value-driven people with a deep love for Israel. Most residents are young couples, and even our most senior residents are under fifty. This is a community that chose Negohot not only for a home but for a mission – a desire to be part of building up the land. Our youth are skilled, compassionate, and enterprising. They spend their time restoring springs, paving hiking trails, running lemonade and hummus stands on Fridays, and even cooking and baking for soldiers stationed nearby.
